The Journey to Now
Welcome to Helix Consulting, where your online presence gets the attention it deserves! Founded in 2020, our story is one of resilience, innovation, and a keen understanding of the digital landscape that is evolving at an accelerated pace.
In 2012, John began his entrepreneurial journey as part owner of his family business in Trinidad, selling countertops to interior designers and homeowners. During his tenure, he not only managed marketing but also excelled in a sales role, learning the ins and outs of customer relations and business development.
Fast forward to March 2020, John travelled to the UK to get married. The global pandemic hit hard, leading to unforeseen challenges, including getting trapped in the UK in “The Great Lockdown”, and being unable to continue in the family business due to financial challenges.
But where one door closes, another opens. Helix was born out of necessity and opportunity, allowing John to work remotely and leverage his skills and knowledge in marketing as many businesses were forced to either increase and optimise their online presence, or start their online venture in an extremely challenging landscape.
By 2021, significant strides in knowledge and skill had been made. John’s expertise caught the eye of UClimb Ltd., where he started working in January 2022. His return to Trinidad in July 2023 marked a new chapter, continuing his work with UClimb until July 2024.
